A discount or no initial charge?Some M&G funds have Class X shares. Class X Shares allow you to invest with no initial charge but with a diminishing withdrawal fee which disappears completely after five years. Please remember that an annual management charge may also apply.
Alternatively some funds also have Class A shares. Class A shares have a varying initial charge but only those funds whose initial charge is a minimum of 4%* are available to be discounted online. You qualify for a 1% discount on the fund’s initial charge, if you invest a lump sum online. Please see below for a full list of funds that attract this discount. You must be an investor without an adviser to qualify for this discount and an annual management charge may also apply. (*Please note that the Global Convertibles Fund and the Optimal Income Fund do not attract the 1% online discount.)
In addition, some funds have Class A shares with a lesser initial charge of 3% and 0%; these funds do not attract a discount.
